The participants discussed, among other things, the
further stages of cooperation between the authorities of the two countries, the
schedule of the development of inspection plans, the scope of responsibilities
of Consumer Protection Inspectorates, the methods of imposing consumer
protection fines, and the rules for enforcing other legal consequences.
The
representatives of each country described the steps used by them during their
inspection activities, the system of legal remedies, the procedure of sampling,
and the subjects of theme inspections carried out over the last year. The
experts of both countries found the two-day conference extremely useful, and
expressed their hope to be able to conduct similar negotiations in the future,
both at central and regional levels.
